Schonende Anwendung bei Kieferanomalien
Die Kieferorthopädin hat aufgrund einer Kieferanomalie bei unserem 8-jährigen Sohn die Anwendung des FaceFormer angeraten. Den haben wir dann auch direkt bei Dr. Berndsen gekauft. Ich kann nur empfehlen, gleich das FaceFormer Spezial Set zu erwerben. Enthalten ist hier eine Trainings DVD und ein Anwendungsplan.
Ziel der Therapie ist, die Fehlstellung des Unterkiefers durch maßgebliche nächtliche Anwendung zu beseitigen. Unser Sohn hat versucht den FaceFormer gleich ohne Training nachts durchgehend im Mund zu behalten. Dies ist nicht gelungen. Aber durch mehrwöchiges Vorabtraining gemäß Übungsplan klappt es nun schon sehr gut. Der FaceFormer bleibt nun in der Regel bis zum Morgen im Mund. Das gelang insbesondere durch das gezielte Üben der Nasenatmung.
Erste Ergebnisse bezüglich des Unterkiefers können wir noch nicht mitteilen, da unser Sohn laut Kieferorthopädin den FaceFormer erst 4-6 Monate bis zur Neuvorstellung tragen soll. Von einer anderen Familien haben wir aber im Vorfeld sehr positive Erfahrung bei ihrem gleichaltigen Kind erhalten. Es ist eine etwas längere, aber dafür sehr schonende Behandlung für unsere Sohn.
Laut telefonischer Rücksprache bei Herrn Dr. Berndsen enthält der FaceFormer kein Bisphenol A (BPA). Das ist uns sehr wichtig!
