Pulling Exercise Downwards
Goal
Applications
For all users. For all diseases, especially:
- Maxillary prognathism (forward displaced upper jaw, upper incisors tilted forward)
- Open bite
- Overbite, frontal crossbite (incisors bite on each other)
- Forward displaced lower jaw
- Paralysis of the face
Exercise Routine
Place the FaceFormer as described under Fundamentals – Starting position.
- Press the lip wedge together firmly with your lips for 6 seconds.
Meanwhile pull the lip wedge downwards with your thumb and index finger.
Press lips and pull downwards
- Hold the lip tension.
Bite down once with the molars and swallow once at the same time.
Meanwhile maintain the proper position of the tip of the tongue.

- Relaxation phase: Release lip pressure for 6 seconds.Lips enclose lip wedge without pressure.Teeth do not touch, but are not far apart.Maintain the position of the tip of the tongue.
Relax lips, maintain tongue position
Repetitions
Repeat the exercise as indicated.
